View full action performance details

The Action performance modal shows a list with all the actions available for the optimization point triggered by the customer event and how they performed during the arbitration process.

To access the Action performance modal, follow these steps:

  1. In MXO, go to Test & Publish > Monitor.

  2. In the Events panel, scroll down to the Action Performance: Top Actions section.
Important: To see an action's performance, you must monitor a profile and an optimization point for that profile must be triggered.
  3. Click View full Action performance details.

Action performance modal

A summary section at the top displays the decisioning funnel details, which includes:

  • Valid — Number of valid actions out of the total number of actions.

  • Filtered — Number of actions that made it through dynamic action filtering out of the number of valid actions (only shown if applicable).

  • Eligible — Number of actions that made it through eligibility out of the number of actions that made it through filtering.

  • Ranked — Number of ranked actions out of the number of actions that made it through eligibility.

You can use the search bar to find a specific action or go through the list. Actions are ordered according to how far they got through the decisioning process.
Note: Disabled actions are excluded from the pool of actions and will not show up in the list. If a specific action is missing, verify it is not disabled.

For each action, the following information is shown:

ColumnCategoryDescription
NameAction (details)Action name.
TypeAction (details)Action type (MXO action or dynamic action).
ResultAction (details)Result of the evaluation. Possible results include:
  • Passed (green check icon) — The action made it all the way to priority.

  • Failed (red warning icon) — The action did not make it to priority.

  • Suppressed (red strikethrough eye icon)— The action was already shown in another optimization point within the same interaction.

SuppressedValidIndicates whether an action was already shown in another optimization point within the same interaction. Possible results include:
  • True (red-filled table cell) — The action was already shown in another optimization point on this interaction.

  • False (green-filled table cell) — the action was not shown in another optimization point on this interaction.

PropositionValidIndicates if a proposition was selected for the optimization point and whether the action matches the proposition. Possible results include:
  • N/A (red-filled table cell) — No proposition selected.
  • Proposition path (green-filled table cell) — The proposition selected and the action matched.

  • Proposition path (red-filled table cell) — The proposition selected and the action did not match.

ViewpointValidIndicates if a viewpoint was selected for the optimization point and whether the action matches the viewpoint. Possible results include:
  • N/A (red-filled table cell) — No viewpoint selected.
  • Viewpoint name (green-filled table cell) — The viewpoint selected and the action matched.

  • Viewpoint name (red-filled table cell) — The viewpoint selected and the action did not match.

Date RangeValidIndicates if a date range was selected for the action to be valid and whether the date range made the action valid. Possible results include:
  • N/A (red-filled table cell) — No date range selected.
  • Date range (green-filled table cell) — The date range selected made the action valid.

  • Date range (red-filled table cell) — The date range selected made the action invalid.

Source (only applies to dynamic actions)Dynamic Actions FiltersShows the name of the data adapter from which the dynamic action was sourced (green-filled table cell).
Template (only applies to dynamic actions)Dynamic Actions FiltersShows the name of the dynamic action template used to source the action (green-filled table cell).
RuleEligibleLists the eligibility rules used on the action or dynamic action template, if applicable, and their result. Possible results include:
  • N/A (green-filled table cell) — No eligibility rule associated with the action. Actions with no eligibility rule always evaluate true.

  • Eligibility rule name (green-filled table cell) — If the eligibility rule evaluated true.

  • Eligibility rule name (red-filled table cell) — If the eligibility rule evaluated false.

  • - (grayed out table cell) — The eligibility rule was not evaluated because the action failed at an earlier stage.

Priority ScoreRankedShows the score given by the priority rule. Possible results include:
  • Resulting score (green-filled table cell) — The priority rule was successfully evaluated.

  • - (grayed out table cell) — The priority rule was not evaluated because the action failed at an earlier stage.

In the Action performance modal, click on a specific action to open a slide out panel with more detailed information about that action.

Action performance slide out panel

The panel contains the following tabs:
Note: Only the actions that made it through all the steps of the arbitration process have all the tabs available. Actions that failed at an earlier stage only have available the tabs of the steps up to which they made it through.
TabDescription
SummaryIncludes two sections:
  • Action details — Shows the action's name, type, ID, result and priority score.

  • Asset details — Shows the status of the assets associated with that action and each asset's viewpoint. Possible statuses include: returned, if the asset was shown to the customer, or not returned, if the asset was not shown to the customer.
Note: Actions with multiple assets should have assets with both statuses.
ValidIndicates whether the action made it through validity (passed or failed), including the results and further details for the proposition, viewpoint and date range of the evaluation. To validate the proposition and the viewpoint, MXO compares the optimization point and the action configurations. To validate the date, MXO compares the date or date range defined for the action with the date on which the optimization point was effectively triggered.
FilteredShows how MXO filtered the dynamic actions based on the filter configuration made in the dynamic action template, including the eligibility rule name and the result.
Important: This section is only shown if dynamic actions were considered during the decisioning process.
EligibleShows the eligibility rule and all the sub-rules used to evaluate the action. Additionally, an icon at the end of each row shows if the rule used an adapter to pull data in for evaluation. Click the adapter icon to see what data did the adapter pull.
RankedIncludes two sections:
  • Priority Rule & ranking — Shows what rule was selected on the optimization point with its rank and priority score.

  • Priority rule details — Shows the priority rule used to evaluate the action and its score.
