Release highlights

Upgrading

Interactive Voice Gateway (IVG) version 3.9.0 supports upgrading from IVG versions 3.5 or later.

Refer to Upgrading IVG upgrade 3.5.x or later to 3.9.x for more information.

Updated CentOS and RHEL support

IVG 3.9 extends support to CentOS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 7.6

IVG can be installed on the following Linux OS versions:

  • CentOS version 6.10
  • CentOS version 7.6
  • Red Had Enterprise Linux (RHEL) version 6.10
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) version 7.6

OpenJDK

IVG packages OpenJDK for use with the VXML Interaction Server (VIS). This replaces the use of Oracle JDK for JRE in prior IVG releases.

Oracle JRE will still be employed if pre-installed on the server.

IVG Single install file

IVG now uses a single install file to perform the following functions:
  • Install IVG
  • Uninstall IVG
  • Enable or disable TLS
  • Check the IVG prerequisites
  • Display IVG component software versions

When the ./ivginstaller file is copied to a VM and opened, enter a parameter to complete the corresponding action:

  • help - Displays the parameter options
  • install - Install IVG on the current server
  • uninstall - Uninstall IVG from the current server
  • check - Perform the IVG compatibility check
  • version - Verify the IVG packaged versions
  • tls-setup - Enable or disable SSL/TLS for the voice platform

ANI value enabled

The IVG installation process unmasks the defaultclirestriction parameter in the voice platform management system, allowing the caller's Caller ID CLI/ANI to be offered as the default callback number in the VoiceXML Interaction Server (VIS) on incoming calls. The CLI can be masked by setting the defaultclirestriction value to 1.
