Date and time filters

Date and time filters limit report data based on events at a point in time. These filters use one or both of the following fields for the time when the filtering event occurred:

  • created_at — When the survey was created and sent to the customer
  • responded_at — When the customer first responded to the the survey

Date and time filters behave slightly differently depending on where they are used. Specifically:

  • In dashboards and summary reports,

    • the Date Range filter uses the survey's created_at timestamp.
  • In The Stream

    • each card displays the responded_at timestamp.
    • the Filter by date filter uses the created_at timestamp to find matching data.
  • In exports

    • of all surveys use the created_at timestamp.
    • ones that include requests with responses only, use the responded_at timestamp.
