How do I view combined data records?

Agile Research data records are not included with your Medallia Experience Cloud records in the EDR Summary of Admin Suite. To view your Agile Research data records, see "Account overview" at the top right of your Agile Research homepage. Add this value to your EDR Summary total to get your total data records count.

How does a customer purchase more records?

If an existing EDR customer wants to purchase more EDRs, this will go through the normal expansion order process between Sales and Deal Desk.

How do I configure customer location settings in Agile Research?

The default location setting in Agile Research will reflect the server location of a customer’s instance. Users can adjust their location setting in Account > Profile.

How are Agile Research User Roles and Permissions configured?

The Agile Research Account Administrator is the primary Agile Research account owner and is responsible for adjusting the default roles and permissions for other users.

When provisioning your Agile Research instance, an Account Administrator will be assigned for Agile Research. For all other users, their accounts will be provisioned with a default set of base roles and permissions when they access Agile Research for the first time via the Application switcher. These roles and permissions are as follows:

  • Roles

    • Full Tool User

    • Contact administrator

  • Rights & Permissions

    • Create surveys

    • Launch surveys

    • Analyze surveys

    • Access to only their own surveys

    • Access to only their own contact lists

The Account Administrator can change the roles and permissions for any user via Account > Users. If the Account Administrator designates another user as a ‘User administrator’, the Administrator will also be able to change the roles and permissions for users.

Note: Only the Account Administrator can assign or remove the 'User administrator' role.

How do I change Account Administrators?

To change the Account Administrator, the current Account Administrator should submit a technical support request at help.medallia.com. The new Account Administrator must be an existing user in the Agile Research account.

How do I request a custom domain?

Contact Technical Support at help.medallia.com to set up custom domains for Agile Research.

Note: If the customer has custom domains set up in Experience Cloud already, Agile Research can use the same custom email domain. However, Agile Research cannot use the same custom survey URL subdomain.

How do I use Medallia Video in Agile Research?

To use Medallia Video in an Agile Research survey, reach out to Technical Support at help.medallia.com to set up a new channel in Medallia Video under the customer’s existing Medallia Video instance. Request the channel name to be ‘[Survey Name] - Agile Research’ and ask the Technical Support team to provide you with the API Key and Channel ID for this new channel, which will be needed to add the video/audio question to the Agile Research survey. Note: To avoid media from different surveys ending up in the same environment, do not use channel credentials (API key and Channel ID) that are already being used for Experience Cloud surveys.

How do I opt-out of Medallia Digital Feedback in Agile Research?

Contact Technical Support at help.medallia.com to opt-out of Medallia Digital Feedback in Agile Research.

Is Agile Research supported on sandbox environments?

Agile Research will not be available in Experience Cloud sandboxes. It is only available on production environments.

Can I buy SMS survey distribution?

All Experience Cloud customers on data records can distribute surveys via SMS by default. SMS surveys carry an extra cost that is not included in EDR. To disable the ability to distribute surveys via SMS, the Agile Research Account Administrator should contact Technical Support at help.medallia.com.

Note: Currently, SMS can only be disabled at the total account level and not at the individual user level.

How can I buy a targeted panel?

For more information on how to purchase a targeted panel, see Targeted panels. Only users with Billing Administrator permission can purchase a targeted panel.

How do I access Knowledge Center?

Go to help.medallia.com. If you are not logged in to Knowledge Center, sign in or register by clicking Register now.

Medallia Experience Cloud Admins can also automatically log in from Admin Suite by clicking Help & Resources > Knowledge Center. If you do not already have access to Knowledge Center, this will automatically set up your access.

How does this integration impact Medallia Experience Cloud customers who already have a standalone Agile Research instance?

If Experience Cloud customers want to connect their existing standalone Agile Research instances to Experience Cloud, Medallians/customers/partners should still follow the process of submitting an Agile Research Provisioning request. This will allow Deal Desk to generate the legal agreement, which is still required to connect an existing Agile Research standalone instance to Experience Cloud.

After the legal agreement is signed, Deal Desk will notify the Product team directly. The Product team will then reach out to customers' Medallia account teams to ensure customers are aware of the differences between Agile Research functionality when connecting their existing instances to Experience Cloud.

After confirming customers want to connect their existing standalone Agile Research instances to Experience Cloud, the Product team will submit a ticket for engineering to connect the standalone Agile Research instances to Experience Cloud via the Application switcher.
