Medallia Digital Web 2.35 release notes
Highlights
-
Feedback supports screen capture as a field. The Digital Command Center offers the ability to take a screen capture and add it to a survey and configure it as any other field. Options to retake and delete a screen capture are available as well. To see the screen capture option, instances must be provisioned and the option enabled.
-
The feedback UUID is now generated by Medallia servers. The following systems support the additional, unique feedback identifier for third-party integrations and data alignment, tracking, and troubleshooting:
-
Medallia Web reporting
-
Medallia Mobile
-
Digital Anywhere API
-
-
Intercept targeting logic, which is controlled by a backend configuration, has been improved to increase the survey interception pool:
-
Closing a survey of type "Button" or "Embedded" is handled in the same was as when a user declines a survey intercept.
-
Submitting a survey of type "Button", "Embedded" or "Code trigger" is considered for interception quarantine.
-
-
The Dynamic Hybrid Hosted (DHH) properties now support Custom HTML in the following ways:
-
Custom HTML files can be uploaded and managed in the Resources Library.
-
Custom HTML based surveys can be managed dynamically.
Important: When upgrading a Digital property that already contains HTML files, existing HTML surveys will continue to work properly. However, the Upload section of the survey editor will be replaced by a Resources Library dropdown and the filename of the custom HTML file that was uploaded before the upgrade will not be displayed. -
Resolved issues
-
The correct language is displayed in the Digital Command Center inbox when using multi option fields values (applies to Web, iOS, Android, and Digital Anywhere).
An updated error suite for importing translated surveys and app ratings has been introduced to all Digital properties (applies to Web, iOS, Android, and Digital Anywhere). This simplifies the translation process and optimizes the translated text displayed to users .

All changes that are saved in the Digital Command Center are updated in the CDN infrastructure, resolving an issue where, in some rare cases, changes were not immediately reflected in the CDN infrastructure.
-
For DHH customers with Content Security Policy (CSP) enabled, CSP warnings are no longer triggered in the console because of an empty scripts tag in the HTML template.
-
Embed surveys no longer add extra spaces on web pages in mobile browsers, which caused screen readers to read multiple pages that did not exist.
On network communication error pages, the alt tag for the "close" icon and the aria-label for the image are now translated.
Survey invitation performance has been improved ,and several security vulnerabilities that existed in previous versions of the invitation codebase have been resolved.

CHTML surveys load properly when browsers block third-party cookies.
-
Invites and Thank You pages contain accurate image descriptions for screen reader users.
-
The hasValue function in custom HTML SDK does not return true in cases where the string is empty.
-
For customers using a large number of properties, Digital Command Center shows all properties as expected.
The color of the "X" icon in the error modal has been updated to accommodate visually impaired users.
-
Dynamically sized embed surveys no longer cause temporary scroll bars to flicker in the survey area.
-
Placeholder text color and size have been adjusted to easily distinguish between placeholder sand other elements.
-
The network communication error page uses an HTML recommended structure.
-
When a web survey is closed, focus is on the Feedback button.
