Survey-taking requirements

  • Desktop browsers
    • Latest two versions of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Mozilla Firefox.

    • Microsoft Windows 10 for Microsoft Internet Explorer 11: latest available consumer build.

    • Other browsers or older versions will likely work; however, Medallia not certify a full experience in browsers older than two years. Any issues will be handled on a best-effort basis.

  • Mobile browsers

    • Google Chrome: latest version

    • Android: latest version

    • Safari for iOS: latest version

  • Network connectivity requirements: Digital surveys require unobstructed network connectivity over an HTTPS connection. If your organization employs a content security policy or any other network filtering method, you may need to allow-list Medallia domains. For more information, refer to allow-list documentation or contact your Digital expert.
  • ADA / WCAG compliance: Digital Web is certified WCAG 2.1 Level AA. For the best survey experience, Medallia recommends the following screen reader and browser combinations:
    • Microsoft Windows: Mozilla Firefox + NVDA; Google Chrome + JAWS; and Internet Explorer 11 + Jaws

    • Apple MacOS: Safari + Voice Over

    • Android: Google Chrome + TapTalk

    • iOS: Safari + Voice Over

    • Safari MacOS users: To enable tabbing in Safari, it is required that the Press tab to highlight each item on a webpage box, located under Safari Preferences - Advanced, is selected.

Highlights

  • The User Based Targeting(UBT) feature now supports identifier hashing.

    Note:

It is not possible to maintain current UBT records when enabling this capability.

User Based Targeting is now GovCloud compliant.

  • Users can now hide unwanted options that were received from a field defined in Admin Suite.

    • Applies to Dropdown, Radio button and Checkbox components.

    • Hiding an option is done of a per-form basis.

Resolved issues

  • When generating a new package on a Dynamic Hybrid Hosting property, the older version was being deprecated automatically. Now, the old version is deprecated only when the user clicks Confirm deployment.

  • The tooltip over the "Screen capture" icon now appears as expected.

  • Customers who logged in to the Digital Command Center via SSO and clicked the "Help" links were not taken to the support portal.

  • On some versions of the JAWS screen reader the focus on rating question was not aligned properly.

  • The characters "<" and ">" now properly appear inside feedback data.

  • Some users were prevented from saving a form with an "Image" component.

  • The error reporting on corrupt translation files has been improved.

  • Dropdown options with long text now appear properly on iOS devices.

  • Digital Stand Alone and V1 customers can now select more than one feedback record by holding the "Shift" key.
