Step 3 - Install the MXO Extension

The MXO Extension lets you configure and manage your web-based Touchpoints easily, by allowing you to work within the context of your own website. You can choose the places on a web-based Touchpoint where you want to track customer activity, capture customer data, and optimize your customers' experience.

When the MXO Extension is installed, you'll see the MXO Extension control in the upper right of your browser's toolbar:
ME - toolbar ext off

You only need to install the MXO Extension once: it remains installed as part of your browser (until you remove it) and is available to all your Spaces and optimizations.

The MXO Extension receives updates automatically as necessary.

Note: For the MXO Extension to work correctly, you must have your browser set to accept cookies.

To install the MXO Extension from the Chrome Webstore

  1. In MXO, choose Welcome.
  2. On the Welcome page, click Install the MXO Extension.
  3. Click Install MXO Extension.
  4. Click Add extension.

Post-installation Tasks

Before enabling the MXO Extension for the first time you must ensure that you:

  • Refresh the browser tab in which you are running MXO. Note that this may require you to log back into MXO again.
  • Refresh any browser tabs in which you viewing web Touchpoints.
