Step 4 - Upload your Asset
Assets are the content, or bundles of content, that are delivered to the customer via an Action. Assets can be graphics, HTML files, XML, text, or other content that is available for display in the presentation layer.
Before an Asset can be used by MXO, it must first be uploaded to the Space.
Only Assets with the following file extensions are accepted for uploading:
- .gif
- .htm
- .jpg
- .png
- .zip
In this practice optimization you'll be substituting a graphic of your choice for a graphic that's currently being displayed in the website you're optimizing. To do this, you'll need to upload the graphic you want to use as a substitute.
The graphic you use as a substitute should have the same dimensions as the graphic it's being substituted for. This prevents the substituted graphic from needing to be resized by MXO and helps prevent the distortion that can occur with resizing.
Create or copy a graphic
- Create or copy a graphic. The graphic you upload can be created using an appropriate graphics editor or copied from another application. The graphic you create must be in either .gif, .jpg, or .png file format. When copying graphics, please be sensitive to copyright issues. Take care to ensure that your organization either owns the rights to the graphics or that the graphics are in the public domain.
- Give the graphic the name Practice Optimization Graphic.
