Step 3 - Create your online optimization point
In MXO, create an online optimization point to define where in your mobile app you want to display the full-screen notification to customers. You create your optimization point for a specific interaction point.
For more information, see Define where to show personalized content to customers.
Example optimization point details
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Test Optimization. |
| Element Path | Typically the path to the element where you want to insert your optimization point is specified here. For mobile in-app optimizations, we use #id. |
| Number of Actions Returned | The number of actions to return in this optimization point. In our example, we are specifying 1. |
| Specify Content Position | Typically this specifies how and where MXO should display content for this optimization point. For mobile in-app optimizations we can use any available option, as the position is specified in the asset markup. |
| Action Selection |
How MXO determines the best action to show to eligible customers. In our example, we are using a fixed selection. Select the Savings Account action from the dropdown. Note: Typically, You would select Fixed Selection only for testing purposes. In a live environment you would want to let MXO choose the best action to deliver to customers at an optimization point.
|
| Priority Rule | The priority rule to use to prioritize actions available to display at this optimization point. In our example, we are selecting Interest and Marketing Priority. |
| Proposition Scope | The product or service to which the selected action relates. If you set a proposition scope for your action, you must set the same proposition scope for your optimization point. Accept the default, No proposition scope. |
| Viewpoint | Accept the default, Use no viewpoint. |
