Audience Insights
Use the Audience insights functionality to gain an in-depth view of the statistics for a given audience.
How do I view the Audience Insights page?
- On the Dynamic Audiences page, click Audience Insights for the Audience whose statistics you want view.Note:
You can view Audience statistics only for discover journeys or discovery nth query types.
What information can I view on the Audience Insights page?
The Audience Insights page provides you with an overview of the resulting statistics data derived from your Engagement Query.
Insights are split into the following sections:
- Query Summary
- Overview
- Averages
Query Summary
The Query Summary section provides you with the following information:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Journey Query | The journey query that returned these results. |
Customer Count | Number of individual customers included in the query results. |
Earliest Date | Earliest date on which customers included in the query results started a journey. |
Latest Date | Latest date on which customers included in the query results finished a journey. |
Overview
The Overview section provides you with the following information:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Journey Count | Number of individual journeys made by customers. |
Average Journey Duration | Average period of time customers spent on the journey. |
Total Events | Total number of interactions for customers included in the query results. |
Averages
The Averages section provides you with insights about a key set of components included in the query results. Those insights comprise a set of figures for each component, as follows:
- Overall average.
- Minimum count.
- Maximum count.
Field | Description |

Touchpoints | Number of Touchpoints visited by customers on their journeys. |
Interactions | Number of interactions completed by customers during their journeys. |
Propositions | Number of products/services viewed by customers during their journeys. |
Nodes | Number of nodes customers passed through on their journeys. |
Channels | Number of Channels visited by customers on their journeys. |
Average Journey Duration | Period of time customers spent on their journeys. |
Channel Transitions | Number of times customers changed channels during their journeys. Split between 0, 1 to 3, and >3 transitions. |
Unique Actions Delivered | Number of unique Actions delivered to customers during their journeys. |
Neutral Actions | Number of times customers responded neutrally to Actions during their journeys, by clicking on the corresponding link or button. |
Total Actions Delivered | Total number of times customers viewed Actions during their journeys. |
Positive Actions | Number of times customers responded positively to Actions during their journeys, by clicking on the corresponding link or button. |
Negative Actions | Number of times customers responded negatively to Actions during their journeys, by clicking on the corresponding link or button. |
View Historical Audience Analytics
As well as viewing current query results for an Audience, you can also view results for previous runs of the same query.
On the Dynamic Audiences page, simply click Result History for the Audience whose historical results you want view.
What information can I view on the Audience History page?
The Audience History page provides you with details about all historical runs of the query for a selected Audience. You can view the following information:
Field | Description |

Status | Status of each version of the query. One of: * Processing. The query is being processed. * Processed. Query processing is complete and there is a resulting audience. * Failed to Process (with warning symbol). The query was not processed successfully and produced an error. * Sharing. The audience is being transmitted to a configured destination. * Shared. The resulting audience has been transmitted to a configured destination. * Failed to Share (with warning symbol). The resulting audience was not transmitted successfully and produced an error. |
Query Changed | Whether or not the query was modified before it was processed. |
Customers | Count of customers returned in the query results and the percentage change over the last time the query was run. This is your audience. |
Journeys | Count of journeys returned in the query results. |
Generated on | Date on which the query was last processed. |
Generated by | Name of the last person to run the query. |
