The Query Editor
The Query Editor provides a simple, intuitive way of creating new engagement queries.
Query Editor Main Screen
When you open the Query Editor, you are presented with the following screen:
From here you can create new and edit existing queries.
Query Menu Bar
The Query Menu bar provides the following data and controls:
Status
Current status of the query. Whether or not the query has been processed.
Last processed
Date and time when the query was last processed.
Live updates
Control to enable and disable the ability for MXO to run the query and update the audience in real-time.
Auto-share
Control to enable MXO to share the resulting audience automatically according to the schedule you configure.
Query Editor
After providing a name and description, use the free-form Query Editor to write your queries. MXO provides a number of tools to ensure writing queries is as easy as possible.
Autosuggest
Provides a list of the valid filters, entities, or attributes you can select when building your query. Autosuggest works across the entire Engagement Query Language.
Autosyntax
Matches closing parentheses with opening ones. Opening ones are preceded with either the interaction or action context keyword. Single quotes are replaced with double quotes.
Undo and Redo
Use the Undo and Redo buttons to make amendments to your query, when required.
Load previous version of query
Use the Load previous version of query button to load a previous version of your query. Useful if you want to view and process an earlier version of your query. {{% /only %}}
Syntax checking
The Query Editor checks your syntax as you type. If your query is incomplete query or contains syntax errors, a Warning icon appears. When your query is complete and error-free the icon disappears.
Save and Process
When your query is error-free, save and process it using the Save and Process buttons. Note that the Process button is available only after you save your query.
If the query processes successfully, you can view the Audience Results.
Settings Toolbar
Use the Settings toolbar to view and configure various settings at an individual query level, including any Space-wide settings you want to override for that query:
- Basic Settings let you include/exclude information about, for example, Most Dominant Paths and Conversion probabilities, in the query results.
- Advanced Settings let you override any Space-wide settings related to, for example, path rendering and stage timeouts you set up during your initial configuration.
