Eligibility Rules

Eligibility Rules provide a means of completely transform the way you use your existing data to personalize the individual customer experience.

Creating new data items

For example, your existing CRM may provide you with a customer's date of birth, but you need a data item that provides a customer's age. You can use an Eligibility Rule to create that new data item. Once created you can reuse that data item multiple times in multiple Eligibility Rules.

Creating Eligibility Rules

You can create Eligibility Rules to completely transform the way you use your existing data to personalize the individual customer experience, enabling you to manage the criteria used to determine the content and messaging presented to those customers. Eligibility Rules help you structure your optimizations to present the right message to the right customer at the right time.

Eligibility Rules are reusable and modular, so you can start by building a simple Eligibility Rule and then combine it with other simple Eligibility Rules to create a more complicated, compound Eligibility Rule.

Eligibility Rules are built using natural language, so be aware of how Eligibility Rule titles are structured. It is essential to give each Eligibility Rule you create a meaningful title, especially if you intend to combine Eligibility Rules together. The aim is to create a literal statement that clearly states the purpose of the Eligibility Rule and defines the conditions under which eligible customers are presented with personalized messages.
