Analytics Module display

The LivingLens' Analytics module provides a summary of select data in a LivingLens channel. Use the dashboard to navigate from a high-level view and drill down to specific media. Find data-driven stories within the content, such as comparing Sentiment across Key Themes and groups of data.

Restriction: LivingLens Analytics are not available for LivingLens Experience Edition. Contact your Medallia Representative for more information.
Access the Analytics module via Analytics in the top banner menu.
Note: Access to a channel Analytics module requires the Analytics Add On to a user role. See LivingLens user roles. If Analytics is not visible in a channel banner, contact your organization's Customer Admin to request the Analytics Add On role for every required channel.

Available charts

A screenshot of the LivingLens Analytics module. It shows two charts, one left aligned labeled Sentiment Analysis, and one chart right aligned labeled Keyword.

By default, the Analytics module can display these charts:

  • Media Source
  • Upload Source
  • Country

Contact LivingLens Support via Medallia Knowledge Center to request additional charts. Support can create additional charts once cognitive analysis is activated and media is uploaded to a channel.

Create additional charts for:

  • Sentiment Analysis
  • Keyword (Key Themes)
  • Emotion Facial (Facial Emotion Analytics)
  • Object (Object Recognition)
  • CaptureMe App Code
  • CaptureMe mobile project tasks
  • Custom filter groups
Note: Cognitive analysis charts are available once these services are activated on a channel and the channel has media uploads. If Facial Emotion Analytics and/or Object Recognition are included in your Medallia subscription, file a ticket with LivingLens Support via Medallia Knowledge Center to activate on the required channel.

Chart display

Each chart has a default display of a Donut, Pie, or Column visualization. Each chart is labeled with the filter name attributes, such as countries and Sentiment emotions. Charts display the number of media items available for each attribute.

The exception is Key Themes (Keyword Analysis) and Object Recognition. These charts only display as a word cloud with up to 70 terms. The word cloud display is weighted by the number of media items the term appears in.

Using Analytics charts

To interact with charts and view corresponding media:

  • Click a value in a Donut, Pie or Column chart to isolate it. The remaining charts re-filter based on your selections.
  • Click a term in a word cloud to isolate it. The remaining charts re-filter based on your selections.
  • All non-word cloud chart selections are listed at the top of the Analytics module. Click x next to any term to reset its chart.
  • To reset a word cloud selection, click x next to the term in the Search field.

The Analytics module displays the number of media items available based on chart selections.

Click Media Library in the top banner to see the relevant media. Media based on your Analytics chart selections persists until you click Clear Filters to remove all selections, you remove one or multiple filters listed on the Media Library, or you reset charts on the Analytics module.

All charts except word clouds are customizable.
