Any survey in a property can be previewed, from either the card or list survey management views, or from the survey editor. The survey preview simulates how the survey appears and behaves on the website where Digital is embedded.

The survey preview is functional, in that you can select scores, menu options or type text depending on the components used in the survey. Advanced features such as conditional display are also previewed. Clicking Submit completes the survey and creates a record in Experience Cloud. Clicking Close returns to the previous screen in the Digital Command Center.

Previewing forms that use custom CSS is supported. Similarly the survey preview is recommended as part of the self-service process of updating a property to survey form 2.0.

Available views

The Digital Web preview can be toggled between the default, that shows the survey form as it would appear on a desktop computer's monitor, a tablet device or a mobile device.

Changing the toggle adjusts the preview so that it simulates the chosen type of device.

Previewing custom parameters

If you use custom parameters you can simulate them in the preview with the menu at the top left of the window.

Click the Simulate custom parameters option to enable preview of custom parameters.
