Adobe Analytics
To integrate Adobe Analytics, which enables receipt of data from Adobe, set up custom parameters as described in this topic.
Similar to Medallia's ability to leverage "s" objects to push data into Adobe, Medallia can also recognize and leverage these as custom parameters to be used with Digital.
Custom parameters are references to information available on your website. Custom parameters allow you to:
-
Enhance survey invitations and buttons targeting. For example, do this to only display feedback buttons once scrolling to the bottom of the page instead of always showing. Or, do this to show a different survey for those who indirectly land on a website (from a search engine) as opposed to directly to the site.
-
Collect extra data when a survey is submitted. For example, collect the username displayed on the page for logged-in users instead of asking users to provide that information when they submit the survey. This is useful when a web page includes data that can provide valuable user information.
-
Refine alerting and actioning workflows. For example, act faster for new website/account users who are authenticated and unhappy as opposed to users who remain unknown or who are happy.
To set up a custom parameter, complete the following steps:
-
Click the Custom Parameters sub-menu from the Authentication menu.
-
Click Add New at the top right of the page to add a new custom parameter. A new row with relevant fields will be displayed.
- Configure information as follows:
Parameter Name — Internal name that will be displayed in reports and in the inbox.
Parameter Type — Data type of the parameter you are going to collect (i.e, text, number, boolean, data, time).
Origin Type — Where on the page Digital code should look for the parameter. Select a value stored in a JavaScript variable, URL query parameter, or cookie.
Origin Name — Name of the JavaScript variable where the data is stored.
Attach Forms — List of all surveys created in the account. Select the surveys for which you want Digital to collect the data.
