Google Analytics integration

This topic describes how to create a new tag in Google Tag manager to enable Digital Events (MDE) to be sent to a Google Analytics (GA) tracking ID. Each time an MDE occurs, a signal will be sent to the specified GA console.

Data elements

For each MDE, GA reports will have the following data elements:

  • Event Category - Will always contain NebulaCX.

  • Event Label - The FormID associated with the event.

  • Event Value - Where GA counts the total number of times a specific event has occurred.

  • Event Action - Will be one of the following:
    • Invite_Triggered

    • Invite_Accepted

    • Invite_Rejected

    • Form_Page_Displayed

    • Form_Displayed

    • Form_Close

    • Feedback_Submitted

    • Button_Clicked

Prerequisites

  • Google Analytics account

  • Google Tag Manager (GTM) account

  • Digital account — must be provisioned with GTM.
