Troubleshooting registration issues

Common registration issues and their solutions.

Your email needs to be validated

You see the following message once you've registered:

Email message "Great, we've created your account!" saying to keep an eye on the inbox for the validation message, a link to resend the message, and a link to contact support

To validate your email, look in your inbox for the email and click the validation link. Be sure to check your Junk/Spam folder if you don't see it in your main inbox.

You don't have authorization to access a community

You're trying to access a community that you have not yet been invited to.

Email message stating you do not have authorization to access this community.

If you believe you should have access, contact the community admin.

Invitation or validation email not received

If you haven't received an email from the community, we recommend checking your junk/spam folder just in case it's landed there.

The screen name you have selected already exists

Your screen name must be unique, so you'll need to choose one not already assigned to another Medallia Ideas.

Message: "Screename is already in use" and an OK button

Try using a different display name or adding numbers on the end eg. John_smith123.
