Notes

Notes are text formatted to stand out from the rest of the body text.

These are variations of the DITA note element that we use, and the ones we don't use. The ones we don't use look hideous in the portal output, so be warned!

Use these note types

These are the note types we use.

Tip: A little extra information to help you along your way. Can be a recommendation.
Note: Supplemental information, can be used to emphasize a point.
Important: Do this or else, you have been warned.
Restriction: Restrictions apply, like "Only available on mobile."
Warning: Can cause data loss or damage to system.

Do not use these DITA note types

We don't use these DITA note types.

Remember: We don't use Remember.
Attention: We don't use Attention.
CAUTION: An activity or operation that might have an undesirable effect, or which can impact system performance.
DANGER: Life threatening. We don't use Danger.
Fastpath: We don't use Fastpath.
