Slack

The Slack data connector enables DXA alerts in Slack.
Note: The DXA Slack integration is a private integration not approved by Slack or publicly available through Slack API.

Enabling the Slack data connector in DXA

  1. On the navigation bar, go to Connect > Data Connectors > Configure Data Connectors > Communication > Slack.Slack data connector

  2. Under Slack, select Slack Integration Enabled.

  3. Click Sign in with Slack.

  4. If you have more than one Slack workspace, in the top-right dropdown, select the workspace you want DXA to integrate with.
  5. Click Allow.

The Slack data connector is now enabled. Ensure both Slack Integration Enabled and Authentication are selected. Slack data connector enabled

You can now create a DXA alert to send to a channel in your Slack workspace.

Sending an alert to a Slack channel using an API token

  1. When creating or editing an alert, in the Slack notification area, select Send to Slack.Send to Slack checkbox

  2. To select the channel to send the alert, click Select Slack channel.

  3. Click Save Alert.

When the criteria for the alert are met, the alert will be triggered and sent to the selected Slack channel.
