Blocking rules
Adding a blocking rule
On the navigation bar, go to settings > Account Settings > Blocking Rules and click + Add Blocking Rule.
In the Scope dropdown menu, select to block an IP address or an ISP.
In the Rule text box, depending on the Scope selected above, enter one of the following:
- An individual IP address
- An IP range
- An ISP name
(Optional) To protect against collection from bots, DXA automatically blocks data collection from individual IP addresses where an unusually high volume of traffic is detected. To turn this off, in the
Type dropdown menu, select Whitelist.(Optional) Enter a Description about the blocking rule.
Click Save Blocking Rule.
To delete the blocking rule, in the Actions column, click Delete. This will result in sessions from the respective IP address or ISP being collected. However, this does not work retrospectively, so will not result in the collection of previous sessions from that rule.
