ADA / WCAG compliance: Digital Web survey form 2.0 is certified WCAG 2.1 Level AA. For the best survey experience, Medallia recommends the following screen reader and browser combinations:
Microsoft Windows: Mozilla Firefox + NVDA and Google Chrome + JAWS
Apple MacOS: Safari + Voice Over
Android: Google Chrome + TalkBack
iOS: Safari + Voice Over
Safari MacOS users: To enable tabbing in Safari, it is required that the Press tab to highlight each item on a webpage box, located under Safari Preferences - Advanced, is selected.
Highlights
Customers using Survey Form 2.0 can now easily modify the color of the inner rating number via custom CSS.
The following changes have been enabled globally for all properties:
Self-service migration to Survey Form 2.0 is now recommended for all customers.
The Experience Optimizer has been removed from the Digital Command Center. After this change, the default page after logging in is Forms.
Users with the role Analyst note that:
for V1 integrations, stand-alone or non-SSO login properties are now redirected to the Inbox.
for V2 integrations and SSO login properties are redirected to an Access denied page.
The feedback UUID is now generated from the Medallia back end with the feedback submission and not by the SDK code.
The Oops message can now optionally be translated. This feature is available upon request. Ask your Medallia expert to file a Feature activation request with Medallia Support.
The implementation of the Digital Web invitation now uses Preact. This results in a smaller, faster implementation based on the latest technology stack and replaces the Angular version which is no longer supported.
This change does not require changes to customer's custom CSS for invites.
The HH and DHH packages have been optimized and unnecessary files that were once part of the package are no longer included, reducing the overall size.
Resolved issues
-
In some Form 2.0 surveys, a horizontal scrollbar appeared in certain configurations.
-
It is now possible to turn off the current page load events (nebula_page_view) and turn on a new (session_start) per session count for Digital survey load.
-
The Preview button on a duplicated form was displayed as a continuous spinner until the form was saved.
-
When making a multi-option component reusable, the options field is now immediately locked once the field has been made reusable, ensuring synchronization with Medallia Experience Cloud.
-
Self-service reusable fields were not storing the Reusable field name properly.
-
When the browser zoom is used, content now correctly reflows and is presented without loss of any information or functionality. This avoids the need to scroll in two dimensions at a time with screen sizes equivalent to 320 by 256 pixels.
