Follow these guidelines for all images:

• Scale images to no more than 900 pixels wide. To help users avoid scrolling to view a full-size image, consider an overall image size no larger than 1440x900 pixels, the standard size for laptop screens. The Window Resizer Chrome extension can help with quick browser resizing.

• Convert all images to png format before uploading them to easyDITA and adding them to topics.

• Add alternative text (Alt) for every image in easyDITA, describing what the image shows. Alternative Text is part of Image contextual menu, as Alignment and Width, and can be added directly from there.

• Always use drop-shadows for screenshots, but never for drawings.
