Event bulk retry

Use the Event bulk retry screen to manually trigger Omni Exporter to retry sets of connections that recently failed. When an event fails to connect, it is reported on the Omni Exporter events screen. You can use that screen to retry any single specific event. Use this screen to retrigger all events within a specific time period.

To bulk retry events:

  1. Select the exporter from the list on the left.

  2. Click Confirm for the period to retry.

  3. Click the button for the period to retry. The options are:

    • Last hour

    • Last 3 hours

    • Last 6 hours

    • Last day

    • Last 2 days

    • Last 7 days

    • Last 30 days

    • Last 90 days

Events older than 3 months cannot be retried.

Each retry can run up to 10,000 events, and you can click several times until you retry all events you need (up to 1,000,000 events).

Each button includes a number in parenthesis that is the count of failed-connection events that time period. Note that when the total number of failed events is less than 10,000, the buttons say Retry (#) of events, when the total number of events exceeds 10,000, the button reads Retry 10K out of (# of total remaining events) events.

Restriction: Note that Omni Exporter has a built-in throttling limit of processing 10,000 events per 5 minutes; this includes normal, real-time events in addition to the retries triggered from this screen. Omni Exporter events are processed from oldest to newest records, so retrying old failed events will take priority over normal new events. As a best practice when retrying failed events, start with the smallest time window, such as the "last 3 hours", and after these events are processed, retry the next older set ("last 6 hours").
