What is a Team?

A team is the group of users who have been granted access to a Space.

Team members are assigned roles and permissions by a Space's admin. Team members who have been added to a Space's team, but who have not been assigned any role, will have read-only access.

Adding team members to a Space is optional: A Space can have as many, or as few, team members as the administrator, or administrators, decide.

Users are added by your organization's tenant admin. This is typically done during MXO set up (and afterwards as necessary).

Team Roles

Roles, and their associated permissions, determine what each team member can (and can not) do within a Space.

Team members can only perform the actions an admin assigns them the permissions to perform. Permissions are grouped into roles.

Each team member can have one or more roles.

The available roles are as follows:

  • Access. Read-only rights to view information for all components. Has limited permissions to create, edit, and delete Journey lenses and also request Data Exports.
  • Creator. Has permissions to add and edit Activity Types, Touchpoints, Propositions, Actions, Optimization Points, Assets, Interaction Points, and Eligibility Rules. Users assigned this role do not necessarily have permissions to make deletions.
  • Publisher. Has permissions to make engagement configurations live – and change which engagement configurations are currently live – making them available to customers.
  • Admin. In addition to having all the permissions granted to the Creator role, can also delete Activity Types, Touchpoints, Propositions, Actions, Optimization Points, Assets, Interaction Points, and Eligibility Rules. Can perform administrative functions, such as adding and deleting team members and changing a team members role.
