Propositions

Propositions are the products or services that you want to promote to customers. For example, a 0% balance transfer offer on credit cards.

Products are typically items you can see and touch, such as computers, cars (or any of the parts of a car), credit cards, car insurance, mobile phones, and so on.

Services are typically provided for you by other people, such as customer service, support, and so on.

Products and services can have parent-child relationships. For example, a product such as a credit card might have other products nested below it, such as different credit card types like platinum, gold, silver, and prepaid.

You can create this parent-child hierarchy, by selecting a Parent Proposition each time you create a new Proposition. Alternatively, you can drag and drop existing Propositions within the Propositions list to reflect the parent-child relationships that exists between them.

Note: Nesting of Propositions within the Proposition hierarchy is capped at 11 levels Use Propositions to set up the long-term and short-term campaigns, offers, invitations, and parent-child hierarchies to use for your marketing initiatives.

Proposition Codes

When creating Propositions, you can specify a Proposition Code as another way of identifying that Proposition in MXO . For example, the Proposition Code may be the specific ID or number assigned to each product in a product catalogue.

Proposition Codes must be completely unique, irrespective of case. MXO stores all Proposition codes in lower case, meaning that, for example, proposition codes PROD123, Prod123, and prod123 are treated as the same code.

Proposition Codes and Eligibility Rules

If you wish to hardcode the value for Proposition code in an Eligibility Rule, you must ensure you enter the code in the correct format (all lower case) to ensure it matches the value already stored in MXO . If the hardcoded value does not match the value stored in MXO , your Eligibility Rule may not work as expected.
