Create and manage propositions

Learn how to create and manage your propositions in MXO.

Create a proposition

To create a proposition, follow these steps:

  1. In MXO, go to Configure > Propositions.

  2. Click + Create.

  3. Provide the following details for your proposition:

    FieldDescription
    Name Enter a unique name for your proposition.
    CodeOptional. Define a unique proposition code for your proposition.
    TypeSelect the type of proposition to create. Choose whether you're defining a Product or Service from the Type drop-down.
    Parent PropositionOptional. Select a parent for the proposition you're creating.
    Note: You can also create child propositions by clicking the Create icon to the right of any parent proposition.
  4. Click Save.

Edit a proposition

To edit a proposition follow these steps:

  1. In MXO, go to Configure > Propositions.

  2. Find the desired proposition in the list and click edit icon Edit.

  3. Edit the proposition as required.

  4. Click Save to finish the editing process.

View proposition dependencies

To see a list of the dependencies associated with a proposition, follow these steps:

  1. In MXO, go to Configure > Propositions.

  2. Find the desired proposition in the list and click dependencies icon Dependencies.

  3. In the modal window that appears, you can see the list of dependencies for that proposition. You may click any dependency to open it in a new window and edit or remove it. Then, click Refresh to reload the dependencies list.

  4. Click Ok in the modal window to close it.

Delete a proposition

To delete a proposition, follow these steps:

  1. In MXO, go to Configure > Propositions.

  2. Find the desired proposition in the list and click delete icon Delete.

  3. If the proposition is associated with one or more entities, the modal window that appears will show the dependencies list and block the deletion process. Access each dependency and remove the association before deleting the proposition. Then, click Refresh to reload the dependencies list and ensure you have removed them all.

  4. Click Delete to complete the deletion process.
