Values: SPCM, UPCM, ULAW, ALAW

Description:

Specifies the algorithm used to encode the audio. Encoding must be supplied when raw or headerless audio is being transcribed.

• PCM: Pulse Code Modulation

• UPCM: Unsigned PCM

• ULAW: μ-law algorithm PCM (also known as mu-law or u-law)

• ALAW: A-law algorithm PCM

If your audio was not encoded with one of these algorithms, it will need to be converted to one of these before you can submit it for transcription.

Encoding must be supplied when raw or headerless audio is being transcribed. If using raw or headerless audio, you must also set datahdr=none. Refer to Adjusting for audio for more information on datahdr.
