Preview App
Use the Medallia Digital Preview app to easily see all feedback engagements and interfaces of the Digital Mobile SDK on iOS and Android. Simply scan the QR code or copy the link from the Digital Command Center to preview engagements in the app. You can preview any engagement, even if it is not published, which makes it easy to check your changes before publishing.

To preview engagements in the app you need to connect the Preview app to your property. When you open the Preview app, the login screen lets you choose how to connect to the property.
Scan QR code to log in
To preview a property's engagements on a mobile device you can scan a QR code. This avoids using long links and makes the preview process quick and convenient. To get the QR code, log in to the property's Digital Command Center.
Generate the QR code using one of the following options:
Per Digital property - View all existing engagements by scanning the QR code available from the top menu bar.
Per survey form - To directly preview a specific engagement, navigate to the desired survey in the Forms view and use the Preview option to generate the QR code. When you scan the QR code, the Preview app directly displays the chosen engagement.
When you click on the chosen option a QR code is displayed.
Scan the QR code with your device and the Preview app displays the chosen engagement.
The generated QR codes are valid for 12 hours from the moment they are generated.
Log in with a link
As an alternative to scanning a QR code, you can also copy a link and share it. Select the Copy Link button from the Preview on Mobile Device window and paste it to the Login via Preview Link field in the Preview App Login Screen
Preview Surveys Screen
The surveys screen is where you preview all of the saved surveys attached to the property from which the QR code or link was logged in from.
- All saved survey forms are presented
- The Digital property name and ID are visible for your convenience
- Per survey:
- You can see if it is published, unpublished, the form name and ID, and all available survey interfaces - intercept (banner or alert feedback invitation), Survey Form (always applicable), Thank You Prompt
- The Survey Taking Flow walks you through all the available interfaces in the order displayed to end users

Using Digital Preview app
For the most realistic preview of your engagements, the app supports key usability cases and capabilities. The following features are available:
- Use the Filter to show the surveys by published status, language, and survey types.
- Use the Search to find a survey by its form name or form ID.
When a survey is being previewed the following features are available:
- If the survey form has been translated, the Language dropdown lets you change between the languages currently available for the survey
- Select the "…" menu option to attach a custom parameter to a survey, to simulate your Digital Command Center setup
- Once previewed, a survey can be submitted to Medallia. The feedback record is flagged as "Preview" to avoid it being confused with a live feedback record.
Add Background Image
To truly simulate your brand experience, add your own custom background image reflecting how your app screen might look like when prompting this Medallia survey.
To launch the background image upload screen, select the image icon at the bottom of the app.
