Advanced settings
Use advanced settings to control administrative functions. To access these settings, under Configuration navigate to Advanced Settings. You must have administrative rights to access advanced settings.
User based targeting
User based targeting is a feature that can be enabled to store the Digital quarantine cookies on the Medallia Servers. This avoids the problem of visitors deleting their cookies and being over surveyed.
While storing the cookies on Medallia servers solves one problem it adds complexity to how the code handles targeting and quarantine issues. When this feature is enabled it applies to the whole property and all of its surveys.
To configure a custom parameter to use for identifying the visitors select the User Identifier option. From the list of available custom parameters chose an identifier. The custom parameter can only be used for user based targeting, therefore it becomes locked for editing and deleting in the Custom Parameter menu. To clear this selection, select None Selected from the dropdown.
The selected identifier is automatically associated with all surveys and is included with the feedback response when a customer submits feedback.
Text area maximum
Administrators using Survey Forms 2.0 can define the maximum input length for Text Area components. The configured size applies to all Text Area components used across all surveys on a property.
By default, the maximum input length for Text Area components is Unlimited. To set a different maximum input length for a property, under Maximum input length select the Custom button. The Max # of characters allowed in the field option becomes active.
Setting the Max # of characters allowed in the field option to any positive integer value configures the maximum number of characters that Text Area components accept.
