Connector schedule

Schedules determine when to automatically run a connector. When connectors are activated, the schedule runs based on the last modified timestamp of the metadata files.

An activated connector keeps a cursor which stores the last time the connector was triggered. The next time the connector is triggered, it retrieves the metadata files between the last cursor and the current time.

Tip: When S3 and SFTP connectors do not find corresponding audio for metadata files, Medallia Experience Cloud does not immediately retry the metadata files. However, Experience Cloud does not discard metadata files until their configured retention period expires. So, if audio files become available over multiple connector runs — and metadata files have not been discarded yet — Experience Cloud processes the audio files.

Connectors perform a set of tasks, such as connecting to an external system, and downloading and importing new call recordings on a daily or hourly basis. Manage the frequency and timing of when a connector should run.

Note: Push connectors and Medallia Speech API connectors do not need a schedule, since they run automatically when you upload files to the Medallia Media File Transfer bucket provided by Medallia as part of Speech provisioning. For information see Get started with Medallia Speech.
Frequency
The frequency at which Experience Cloud pulls data. Define the frequency at which the connector runs. Select the number of days, hours or minutes.
Restriction: When Experience Cloud tries to run a new job when a job is currently running, the new job is skipped. As a concrete example, consider a user that schedules a run every 5 minutes: the first run happens at 1:00AM and takes a total of 7 minutes to complete. Therefore, a run will be skipped at 1:05AM and the second run will start at 1:10AM. Set the running frequency as high as you want. However, there is no guarantee that Experience Cloud will be able to execute jobs at the desired frequency.
Days of the week
Days of the week on which to run the connector.
Times of the day
Hours in which to run the connector. The range is 12 a.m. (midnight) to 11 p.m.
Minute of hour
Minutes in which to run the connector. The range is 0 (start of the hour) to 59.
Time zone
Dates and times are relative to people in different time zones, so only when a timezone is specified does a date or time become clear to everyone.
