Allow language choice

Allow your community to display text in a user's preferred language

When a community supports multiple languages, users can choose their preferred language or let Medallia Ideas detect the preferred language set in the browser. When text is not available in the user's preferred language, Medallia Ideas uses the default language instead. See Add content for more than one language for instructions about adding text in multiple languages.
Restriction: You must choose at least two languages to use this feature. If you only want to enter content in one, default language, do not choose the languages. See Set the default language for more information.
  1. Go to Management > Settings > Languages.
  2. Optional: For the Default language, turn on Auto detect.
    This tells Medallia Ideas to use the language set in the browser.

  3. Turn on Allow language choice.
    This allows the user to choose their preferred language.
  4. Choose the languages the community supports.

  5. Click Save changes.
