Medallia Digital Web 2.33 release notes

Released starting 7 June 2020

Highlights

  • Improvements to the internal feedback processing infrastructure reduce the time required for Digital feedback to arrive in Experience Cloud.

  • SSO-enabled customer accounts can manage Digital users and permissions entirely in the Experience Cloud users, permissions, and capabilities screen. When this feature is enabled, Digital user permissions are set exclusively in Experience Cloud regardless of the previous setting defined in the Digital Command Center.

  • The V2 integration robustness has been increased to ensure static field identifiers are constant and globally unique. This affects Static Digital BPP fields including the following:
    • Reporting

    • Roles

    • Metadata fields

    • Alternative sets such as grading

  • Experience Cloud reporting is asynchronous in v2 integrations, which reduces the time it takes to execute the Save form action in the Digital Command Center.

  • Upgrades to the internal rich text editor, which is used throughout the survey builder, include a slight visual update to the editor's toolbar.

  • You can manage all CX program CSS and media files in one central hub — the Resources Library. This library allows for the following functionality:
    • Uploading images and CSS files only once.

    • Selecting resources you have uploaded to the library via image upload dialogs and CSS fields.

  • Dynamic Hybrid Hosting is a new hybrid-hosted solution that allows administrators to manage their CX program dynamically without needing to deploy a Digital package to their websites. This solution provides the following:
    • Survey management and configuration is now completely dynamic. Surveys can be created, published, unpublished, and modified on the fly. Additionally, it is possible to add, remove and modify custom parameters, rules, and user behavior triggers.

    • Package management is now done via a dedicated screen.

    • The Resources Library allows centralized management and reuse of media assets such as images and CSS, which are still required to be part of the Digital package.

  • The option to add the DOM.URL parameter into events sent to Adobe is available for customers who do not populate that parameter themselves.

  • The error message that is displayed when a communication error occurs with Digital servers supports screen readers and keyboard navigation.

  • The User Based Targeting feature is enabled in the AWS AU environment.

  • Messages contain details necessary to resolve errors that may occur when logging in to the Digital Command Center via Admin Suite.
