Roles
Roles are sets of permissions that determine the access and capabilities of a user. Every user is assigned at least one primary role, but they can also have multiple secondary roles. Each role has unique permissions and capabilities based on user activities and report needs. For instance, a role can provide dashboard access to all users in the same role.
Note: It is possible to limit data access on the role via Limit Data Access by Segment but is not recommended.
Active role
When a use has multiple roles, the active role determines the user's current access and permissions, not the combination of all the user's roles.
