Released starting 22 Oct 2025

For software requirements for Web and Mobile users, and for survey takers, see System Requirements.

Notices

Changes that affect functionality.

Sign-in will require SSO or MFA

Restriction: Beginning 1 November 2025 the default sign-in process for Medallia Experience Cloud will require Single Sign-On (SSO) or multi-factor authentication (MFA). Existing accounts not using either SSO or MFA need to be converted to SSO or MFA, and may continue to exist as-is until 31 January 2027, at which time they will be blocked.

Email feed deprecation

Restriction: As of the Winter 2025 release, the ability to set up Email feeds is deprecated. Customers that had Email feeds prior to Winter 2025 may continue to use those exports, and they will also still be able to set up new ones. If you require the use of Email feeds, submit a Feature activation request so that teams can validate the use of this now-deprecated feature.

JQuery support in Surveys

Warning: Support for jQuery in Surveys is deprecated and will removed in the future. Surveys currently using jQuery selectors like $(dom-selector).action() may not function correctly and could cause custom HTML to render improperly. jQuery is not available in instances not already using it.

Auto Importer and passwords

Warning: It is possible to update user-account passwords through Auto Importer. This feature may be deprecated in a future release. If your company requires this feature, contact your Medallia representative to have them validate the requirement with the Medallia Global Security and Compliance (GSC) team.

Rapid Response sections in Classic End-of-Life Notice

Important: Rapid Response in Classic is now on Limited Support. Consider using the "Feedback Response" capability located in Admin Suite for the best self-serve experience in creating and managing templates. Please contact the Medallia support team with any questions.

Release highlights

Admin Suite

  • Admins can now manage Units more efficiently with new bulk capabilities. Units can be bulk downloaded along with their usage metrics, and bulk actions such as Activate, Deactivate, Deactivate (Exclude Data), and Delete are now supported. Additionally, users can view the history of all bulk management actions performed on Units for better traceability and control.

Restriction: This functionality is currently in Beta. During this early access period, clients in the Beta program can try out and test this feature, and provide feedback about it. This stage allows Medallia to refine the feature's design before its general availability. Be aware that functionality may change before then.
  • Admins can now use the new, intuitive Experience Programs tool to structure and organize data within their instance. The update streamlines asset management and record migration, enabling a fully self-serve experience directly from the Admin Suite. Digital records can also be migrated into Experience Programs in just a few steps using the new Record Migration tooling.

  • Digital Experience Analytics is now an option in the Experience Cloud App Switcher. This option is available only to Experience Cloud users who have access to Digital Experience Analytics.

  • Action Plans now support a new power user role level permission to allow users to edit action plans outside of their scope. This means if they are not the creator or owner of a plan they can still make changes to it.

  • The Alert Email Editor in Admin Suite has been improved to have more email drafting space, line breaks are preserved when pasting content, and expanded formatting options to provide greater flexibility for customizing alert emails. Additionally, alert status in Responses Form now displays in days.

  • Action Plans and Template can now have their data access customized by role. This can be found in the Action Plans section of Admin Suite under the new Data Views tab.

Conversations

  • You can now initiate the WhatsApp Twilio onboarding process directly from the Conversation app through an embedded sign-on experience. Previously, WhatsApp sender setup in Twilio was manual and offline. Since January 1, 2025, Twilio requires all new WhatsApp sender configurations to be completed through its self-service Console. This new integration streamlines onboarding by connecting clients directly to Twilio’s official self-service flow, reducing reliance on manual or unsupported methods.

Emails

  • Survey Email Inviters now support configuring domain-aligned Return-Paths for single or multiple domains. This allows customers using custom email domains (email masking) to assign a unique Return-Path for each domain, ensuring compliance with email authentication standards such as SPF.

Restriction: This functionality is currently in Beta. During this early access period, clients in the Beta program can try out and test this feature, and provide feedback about it. This stage allows Medallia to refine the feature's design before its general availability. Be aware that functionality may change before then.

Feedback

  • generative AI icon Smart Response now supports Spanish, enabling users to generate personalized, context-aware replies to customer feedback in Spanish. Medallia evaluates the language of each comment in the feedback and generates a Smart Response in the corresponding native language (when Spanish is detected), enhancing customer experience and driving consistent engagement across Spanish-speaking markets.

Restriction: Smart Response is not supported for Medallia GovCloud.

Medallia Mobile

  • Improved UI for greater accessibility on Medallia Mobile application.

  • Notifications can now be triggered on user customized mobile scorecards in three different ways:

    • Once per day
    • When the score changes compared to a benchmark
    • When the score changes by a fixed amount

Medallia Voices

  • Voices TV can now support adding a customizable QR code to the screen and video/audio pieces of feedback.

Reporting

  • generative AI icon Root Cause Assist now supports native and translated Spanish reporting data and generates analysis in Spanish when the user's Reporting Application language is set to Spanish.

  • The PDF export settings have been improved as follows:

    • User defined settings now persist across sessions and devices.
    • Admins can set company default PDF export settings.
  • generative AI icon Intelligent Summaries are now available for transcripts in Spanish.

Speech

  • Admins can now customize the redaction rules used for Medallia Speech PCI compliance. This allows users to adapt the redaction feature to fit customer data, where specific numbers such as SKUs, order numbers or other information needs to be retained for usability, but other PCI/number redaction is still desired. Customizations can be entered into the Connectors UI interface, or sent as part of the payload to the Speech API.

Text Analytics

  • Admins can now configure the TA Emerging Text Analytics reporting module to display the co-occurrence of two topics, or a topic and theme mentioned together within the same record or the same phrase. For example,

    • A grocery chain wants to identify when respondents talk about Price and Tomatoes at the same time
    • Hospitality companies want to identify when guests talk about the topics Cleanliness and Bathroom at the same time
  • generative AI icon Spanish comments tagged to a Topic/Theme can now be summarized by Intelligent Summaries for Text Analytics, and the GenAI Summary itself can also be produced in Spanish (if the user's Reporting Application language is set to Spanish).

  • generative AI icon Themes with GenAI is a Text Analytics feature that leverages shared GPU resources. The "Processing History" section of the Themes configuration has been enhanced to now provide administrators with greater transparency into the processing pipeline and queue position for any Themes with GenAI processing job.

Translations

  • The Translations application has a new modern look and improved user experience including the redesigned translations table and upload screens. Additionally, users can now jump directly from a survey in the Survey Builder app to the Translations app with the table pre-filtered for that survey. Finally, when accessing the Translations app from the NavBar or the Admin Home tile, users land on an empty page by default to enhance performance.

Resolved issues

Reporting

  • The Focus Area module configured for Multiple Linear Regression with benchmark for regression now gracefully handles exceptions.

  • Fixed issue related to incomplete support of the countUnique QueryAPI metric that did not accepted interval IDs to define a time range, and which was causing some modules to fail when using custom timeperiods.

Text Analytics

  • generative AI icon Spanish comments tagged to a Topic/Theme can now be summarized by Intelligent Summaries for Text Analytics, and the GenAI Summary itself can also be produced in Spanish (if the user's Reporting Application language is set to Spanish).
