Idea submissions over time report
Statistical information over time about the idea submissions in your community
The Idea submissions over time report shows information about the number of ideas that have been submitted to your community. You can view the number of ideas posted by date, and you can filter this information by user profile attributes, and by specific or all challenges.
Locate the report on the Admin Setup > Analytics > Statistic tab.
Initially the graph and table show the statistics for ideas posted in all challenges.
See all users or filter to show only those meeting specific user profile attributes.
Show for All published challenges, or select a specific one.
Change the Date range to limit the time-span of the report.
Click Update to apply the changes.
The idea submission chart and table
The chart shows how many ideas have been posted over time, which by default is all the ideas posted since your community was created.
See a specific time period by clicking the Zoom button in the upper left: 1 day, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, the beginning of the calendar year to today (YTD), or 1 year.
Scroll the chart horizontally to change the time span.
The table below the chart lists the ideas submitted for challenges in the chart. The table shows the name of the idea, the challenge it was posted to, when it was posted, who posted it and the number of comments and votes it has received.
Export data from the Idea submissions page
Export the report to view the data offline (outside of Medallia Ideas). You can exclude the chart or data for the currently displayed time span. Click the Export button in above the right corner of the chart and choose the format.
Print the chart (only) to open use the browser's print options.
Export the chart as an image in PNG, JPEG, PDF, or SVG format.
Export the table data in CSV or XLS format.
The downloaded data file can be opened in Excel, Numbers, or a similar spreadsheet application. It includes all the ideas that are in the on-screen table, as well as their associated comments and the number of votes that they received. The Type column indicates whether an item is an idea or a comment, and an idea is listed with its comments directly under it.
In this example, the idea "Masterful Manufacture" has four comments, which are shown in the four rows directly underneath the idea. The idea "Know your customer" has one comment, which you can see in the row underneath the idea.
