CaptureMe

Medallia Video CaptureMe is mobile app used to collect asynchronous feedback, self-ethnographies and diary study entries from respondents. It can be used to supplement other methodologies such as pre- or post-focus group assignments.

Use Video to create and manage CaptureMe projects and push assignments, called Tasks, to respondents. View mobile uploads in the corresponding Video channel.

Using the CaptureMe app, respondents can:

  • Access a secure project on their mobile device using a unique Project code.

  • Capture video, audio and image responses and upload them via the app. Media uploads to a pre-configured Video channel.

  • Message Video platform users using the in-app messenger.

By default, media only uploads when a respondent is connected to WiFi so there is no impact on data allowances. Respondents can activate upload over mobile data in the CaptureMe app settings. Upload speed is dependent on connection strength and speed.

Supported operating systems

  • Apple iOS — 11.0 and above.

  • Android OS — API 21 (Lollipop 5.0) and above.

Supported languages

Respondents select their recording language when they first access the CaptureMe app. If the language selected does not match the language that the respondent will be speaking in their recordings, they should select the correct language in the CaptureMe settings.

Important: Respondents must select the language they speak in video and audio uploads so that media is automatically processed for transcription, and translation if applicable, after upload.
