Voice prompt recording IVR

The Voice Prompt Recording IVR provides a way to record audio prompts via phone for your voice surveys. To use the service, dial the number for your instance of Mindful Feedback (see below) and follow the voice prompts.

To find the phone number and your PIN, navigate to Settings > Customer Settings > Customer Credentials tab.

Using the Prompt Recording IVR

The IVR will greet you by name if it recognizes your phone number. Otherwise, you will be asked to enter your Phone PIN. Follow the steps below to navigate through the IVR.

  1. Press 1 to record a new prompt. You will be instructed to record the prompt after hearing a tone. Press pound (#) to end the recording.
  2. Listen to the playback of your recording to ensure it sounds as you expected.
  3. If you want to keep the recording, press 1 when prompted.
  4. To discard and record again, press 2.

When the prompt has been recorded, it will be saved to your Mindful account. You can continue to record more prompts by pressing 1 to begin again. When a recording is saved, it will appear in your sound files list on the Surveys page and will immediately become available to associate with a survey prompt.

Tip: We recommend renaming the sound files created through the Prompt Recording IVR, as they will automatically be given a generic name based on the date and time they were recorded.
