The Surveys overview element summarizes the status and count of survey interactions matching the Dashboard filters.

As seen in the Surveys overview, a survey can only be in one of the listed states described below:

CompletedThe number of interactions that have started and received responses for all questions asked
  • This may be affected by the Mark Survey as Finished question event (see Triggers & Events)
AbandonedThe number of interactions that have timed out or been actively abandoned by the respondent
  • An interaction will be marked as abandoned if it was not completed within the timeout period for the interaction type (see survey timeout settings).
  • The interaction can also be marked as abandoned when the respondent hangs up before the end of the survey (for voice calls) or an answering machine/voicemail is detected (for outbound calls).
PendingThe number of interactions that are scheduled but have not yet started
  • This includes email surveys that have been sent, for which the recipient has not yet clicked to respond to the survey in the email body.
ActiveThe number of interactions that have started but have neither been completed nor abandoned
  • These are considered to be in progress.
