By Unit Groups

Assigns a design variations to a survey based on the Unit Group of the invitation.

Design rules have priority over By Unit Groups specification, that is, they are searched before By Unit Groups. As a result, the first one that is a match is selected.

Properties

Property group
Select a Unit Group and apply a variation to it. When the unit associated in the Invitation email is in the selected Unit group, the selected variation is used.
Customization
Variation to use when the unit of the survey matches the selected Unit group.

Tips and best practices

  • If a variation is not applied correctly, verify Priority and Condition.

  • Remember that Design rules have priority over By Unit group.

  • Create live links for each rule. Use an Auto Importer specification to create and update live links.

  • Assign a variation to the highest level of the unit hierarchy tree to cover all corner cases that may be left out.
