Create a task
Learn how to add one or more tasks to an action plan.
Tasks represent the various activities that must be completed for an action plan as whole to be finished successfully. For example, an action plan that aims to improve customer satisfaction about the cleanliness of stores is likely to have several tasks for many people across the company. One person might be tasked with devising the improvement plan itself. Store managers might be tasked with making the required changes in each of their stores. Someone in customer relations could be tasked with reaching out to customers that provided low satisfaction scores, letting them know about the improvements that were put in place.
Every task has an Assignee, who is responsible for completing that task, and a due date by which the task must be completed.

Each task also has a status that indicates the overall progress of that task:
-
Not started — Work to complete the task has not yet begun. While the parent action plan is still being defined, the owner of that action plan might also choose to remain the assignee of the tasks.
-
In progress — The task has been defined, and is assigned to the correct person.
-
Completed — Work to complete the task has ended, whether it was carried out successfully.
