Create and manage personas
Learn how to create and manage your journey personas in MXO.
Create a persona
To create a journey persona, follow these steps:
In MXO, go to Analyze > Personas.
Click + Create.
Enter a unique name for your persona.
Enter a short description for your persona.
Attach a file as an avatar for the persona.
Provide a background for your persona, summarizing their professional and personal goals and how they relate to your brand.
Define what the persona is trying to achieve, considering the jobs-to-be-done framework. For example, opening a new checking account without visiting a branch.
Enter quotes that the persona might say about your brand and their objectives.
Detail the persona's demographics, such as age, marital status, children, location, occupation and earnings.
- Identify the persona's motivations. Explain what drives them towards their goals and why they interact with your brand. For example, seeking lower fees and higher interest on checking balances.
Describe the persona's frustrations, highlighting pain points and friction related to their goals and your brand.
Optional. Click + Add Journey Maps and select one or more journey maps to associate to your persona.
Click Save to finish the creation process.
Edit a persona
To edit a journey persona, follow these steps:
In MXO, go to Analyze > Personas.
Find the desired persona in the list and click
Edit.
Edit the persona name or description as required.
Click Save to finish the editing process.
Delete a persona
To delete a journey persona, follow these steps:
In MXO, go to Analyze > Personas.
Find the desired persona in the list and click
Delete.
If the persona is associated with one or more maps, the modal window that appears will show the dependencies list and block the deletion process. Access each dependency and remove the association before deleting the persona. Then, click Refresh to reload the dependencies list and ensure you have removed them all.
Click Delete to complete the deletion process.
