Medallia Video lewd video detection identifies explicit content in video files and deactivates the video player for videos likely to have adult themes. It is powered by Google Cloud Vision, which defines explicit content as "generally inappropriate for those under under 18 years of age and includes, but is not limited to, nudity, sexual activities, and pornography."

Lewd video detection can only be set at the customer level. Once it is activated, this service analyzes all video files in every channel in the customer group. The exception are showreels published to a Media Library, which are not analyzed for lewd content.

Lewd video detection can process media for the following likelihoods that the media contains adult themes:

  • High — It is very likely that the video contains explicit content.

  • Low — It is possible but less likely that the video contains explicit content.

Lewd video detection only analyzes the visual content of a video file. It does not take the media’s audio content into account. To censor video and audio transcript outputs, see Custom dictionary.

When the platform identifies lewd video content, it deactivates the video player on the Media View and displays the following messaging on both the media player and the Media Library thumbnail image.
