Digital Web 2.59 release notes

Released starting 13th May 2025

Release highlights

General

  • These features and capabilities are now enabled by default for all customers:

    • As previously announced, properties that haven't upgraded to Form 2.0 are being upgraded automatically. The upgrade is taking place as we roll out this release.

    • Native right to left support for translated surveys

    • The ability to hide certain options when mapping to an Experience Cloud field with a component of type: Checkbox, Radiobutton, Dropdown.

    • Self service mapping of custom parameters to Experience Cloud fields, including the ability to determine whether the custom parameter is an E or a Q field.

    • To improve accessibility compliance, all forms and invites now support a layout reflow whenever the user defines a larger font size or page zoom.

    • Improved display logic to improve compatibility with certain frameworks and single page applications.

A spinner is displayed if a form has been triggered before the SDK have finished loading.

  • The rule builder now highlights condition rows where the criteria value field contains a space or an invisible character before or after the value.

  • All new Digital Feedback properties are now enabled by default with a data retention policy of 12 months upon property creation. This applies only to the data stored on the Digital Feedback backend and does not impact feedback that has been processed in Experience Cloud. If you wish to set a different data retention policy, please contact your Medallia team member.

  • Improved the logic of custom rule handling when duplicating forms:

    • If the rule has only conditions that are mapped to "All Forms" - it is attached automatically.
    • If the rule has one or more conditions that are form specific, it is not part of the duplication process.
  • A clearer warning is now displayed whenever a deleted custom parameter is still in use within a rule.

  • Web invitation Accessibility updates:

    • Improved Page zoom, reflow and increased font-size support.
    • Button size have been updated to meet WCAG standards
    • The Default colors of the invite modal have been updated to meet the required contrast levels.

Documentation

The Digital Feedback documentation is updated to match the new V2 integration that has been deployed across the majority of customers.

Resolved issues

General

  • Customers who have migrated to Experience Cloud V2 integration are no longer blocked from deleting rules attached to the deprecated "Real time alerts" capability

  • Accessibility: The check box component wasn't scaling properly when the user increased their device's default font-size.

  • Fixed an issue that occurred when the user tried to import a translation file for a form that enabled the "Skip invite" capability.

  • Feedback with a custom parameter that was a very small fractional value (below 0) was not processed properly.

    Example: 0.000300122454524

  • The default font size on Safari browsers is reverted to 16px based on WCAG requirements.

  • Draft users: A rule that was attached to the specific form is now properly attached to a draft when it is being created.

  • It is now possible to use an empty question label. Note that in Experience Cloud the question label is displayed as an invisible character.
