Testing a Facebook channel

After Creating a Facebook channel and Adding a message button to a Facebook Page, follow these steps to verify the configuration. 

To test the channel:

  1. In Medallia Conversations, assign a Keyword to a channel. For example, use testFB as a keyword.

  2. In web browser, go to the Facebook Page and click Send Message.

    Note: If you are the account owner, hover over the Send Message button and choose Test Message (otherwise, clicking the button opens the button editor).

  3. The Messenger dialog appears. Click Get Started.

  4. Enter a text message that is the keyword of a conversation (such as testFB).

The conversation should appear in the Messenger dialog.

Messenger shows 'testFB' and 'Hello, how can we help?'
