Outbound SSO allows Medallia Experience Cloud users to connect to external systems without having to sign in to those systems. In this case, Medallia is the identity provider (IdP) and the external system is the service provider (SP).

For example, in the Admin Suite , the Help tile on the home screen includes links to Support and Community. Both of the links take users to the Knowledge Center (help.medallia.com). Normally users must sign in to access that site. But when the user clicks the links, Experience Cloud acts as an IdP and the web sites is a SP that accepts the user's ID authorization without requiring them to sign in.
