Standard topics
Standard topics use rules to find keywords in feedback comments.
There are two types of topic: standard and compound. Standard topics find keywords in customer comments, such as in the text fields of surveys. For example, you might use a standard topic to identify when comments mention unfriendly staff or dirty restrooms.
A standard topic rule is the combination of logic and words (including keywords, nearby words, and linguistic connections) that define which phrases are associated with a particular topic.
Standard topic rules use words and word groups to define which phrases are associated with a particular topic. Rules and word groups must specify single words; multi-word phrases are not compatible unless specified as a user feature.
Different rule components can use different ways of matching keyword text to comment text: lemmatized matching, or case-sensitive or -insensitive exact matching.
