Bulk editor
Use the Bulk editor to manually perform bulk edit operations across Medallia Experience Cloud. In some cases, a raw data file is the most flexible approach for dealing with Setup objects. The bulk editor provides an interface to interact with these objects in a raw data file.
Use this tool to access a plain-text representation of Experience Cloud Setup objects and perform actions on multiple objects simultaneously.
Editing Setup objects in bulk
Bulk is a global level operation done primarily by advanced users. To create, edit or delete objects in bulk, start by bulk downloading the existing objects. Work with your Medallia expert to modify the downloaded file, and upload the changes back to Experience Cloud.
The bulk tool is triggered from a global-level menu within the context of a report, a dashboard or a module.
-
Click Bulk and select:
-
Bulk Download (csv) — Download a spreadsheet in which the values are separated by commas.
-
Bulk Download (tabs) — Download a spreadsheet in which the values are separated by tabs.
-
-
Open the downloaded file in a spreadsheet editor.
Each row in the spreadsheet represents a different Experience Cloud Setup object. Each column represents an attribute of that object.
-
In your spreadsheet, find the rows for the objects you want to update and modify them.
Note: You can also use this tool to evaluate your existing Setup objects for possible performance improvements. -
Copy the cells on your spreadsheet. Ensure that you copy only the cells spanning the columns and rows of your data, including headers.
-
In the Bulk dropdown, select Bulk (tabs) or Bulk (csv) as appropriate, and then paste your copied spreadsheet cells over the content in the text box.
-
After you successfully paste the cells, determine how to handle the changes. Select one of these options:
-
Update — Overwrite existing objects with new values.
-
Add — Add new objects that are not in Experience Cloud.
-
Delete — Remove old system objects not present in the new upload.
Note: Update and add operations are selected by default.

Click Save.
Click Form to close the text box.
