LivingLens
Integrations > Medallia Apps > LivingLens
This screen configures the connection to Medallia Video. Each instance has its own, specific connection values. When Medallia Experience Cloud collects information from Video, it then stores the data in Amazon CloudFront. Additional options tell Experience Cloud how to identify this instance's data.
The values on this screen are set as part of Video provisioning. Do not make changes to this screen unless directed by a Medallia expert.
To test that the integration has been completed successfully:
-
Your instance must be enabled for Video. Check that the Enable LivingLens integration checkbox is selected. The Medallia Production Services Engineering team selects the Enable LivingLens integration checkbox as part of Video provisioning.
-
There must be a client account in Video, and the account must belong to the Customer Admin role that has permission to create channels. Verify that the following details are populated:
- Client ID — LivingLensWeb.
- Service account user name and password for accessing the Video token endpoint.
-
Click Fetch access token.
At the bottom of the screen a message shows the access token string, and the amount of time the token is valid. When that information appears, the configuration is valid and ready to begin collecting Video data.
If the configuration is invalid, an error message describes the problem. One common error identifies when the client account in Video does not have the role that allows it to create channels. The client account must have the Customer Admin toggle on (green) in Video.
Sandboxes
When you refresh a sandbox, the connection to Medallia Video can be disabled. In such scenario, Medallia Video must be set up manually on the sandbox.
To configure the integration for sandboxes.
Check that LivingLens Instance is correctly configured to be the data center hosting your Video instance.
Check that Client ID is LivingLensWeb.
Check that Service account username is a a valid user account in LivingLens. For example: livinglens-<client-name>-integration@medallia.com.
Check that Service account password is the password associated with the account in LivingLens.
Once, the above properties are configured and accurate, click Fetch access token.
When the account credentials are valid, a green message shows the access token string. When the credentials are invalid, a large red error message shows a stacktrace.
Tip: Save the username and password for future use. The username is the same across all sandboxes used for the client or account.
