Configure an Attribute as the Key for an External Customer Data Source

MXO lets you use any attribute as the key for a Data Adapter. MXO allows you to choose which key value to pass to each data source to retrieve data, when you create and configure new Data Adapters.

For example, for a CRM data source, MXO can send the unique customer identifier stored in the Customer key attribute. For a marketing solution using email address as the customer identifier, MXO can send the customer’s email address, captured and stored in a key attribute called Email Address.

Any relevant attribute stored in the Customer Metadata Data Adapter can be used as a key for accessing external data sources.
