Create and manage touchpoints
Learn how to create and manage your touchpoints in MXO.
Create a touchpoint
To create a touchpoint, follow these steps:
In MXO, go to Collect > Touchpoints.
Click + Create.
- Provide the following details for your touchpoint:
Field Description Channel The channel classification for the touchpoint you are creating. Choose between web, mobile, assisted, social, physical, and outbound. Touchpoint Name for the touchpoint you are creating. Base URI The touchpoint base URI (uniform resource identifier). The base URI cannot contain any additional forward slashes or any characters after the domain name (.com, .edu, .uk, .gov, and so on).
The BASE URI box has a red outline until you have entered an acceptable URI. You will not be able to save the touchpoint until the URI is acceptable (and the box turns blue).
To traverse both http and https pages of a website without requiring separate touchpoints, preface the touchpoint URI with http*://.
Click Save to finish the creation process.
Edit a touchpoint
To edit a touchpoint, follow these steps:
In MXO, go to Collect > Touchpoints.
Find the desired touchpoint in the list and click
Edit.
Edit the touchpoint as required.
Click Save to finish the editing process.
View touchpoint dependencies
To see a list of the dependencies associated with a touchpoint, follow these steps:
In MXO, go to Collect > Touchpoints.
Find the desired touchpoint in the list and click
Dependencies.
In the modal window that appears, you can see the list of dependencies for that touchpoint. You may click any dependency to open it in a new window and edit or remove it. Then, click Refresh to reload the dependencies list.
Click Ok in the modal window to close it.
Delete a touchpoint
To delete a touchpoint, follow these steps:
In MXO, go to Collect > Touchpoints.
Find the desired touchpoint in the list and click
Delete.
If the touchpoint is associated with one or more entities, the modal window that appears will show the dependencies list and block the deletion process. Access each dependency and remove the association before deleting the touchpoint. Then, click Refresh to reload the dependencies list and ensure you have removed them all.
Click Delete to complete the deletion process.
